ISAAP is an advanced professional certification programme designed to develop competence in sustainability audit, ESG information review, environmental verification and sustainability assurance.
It teaches participants how to plan engagements, assess materiality and risk, evaluate evidence, review reported sustainability information, document findings and prepare professional conclusions.

The programme contains eight professional modules, followed by a practical sustainability audit case study and final professional examination.
Participants review a simulated sustainability report and supporting evidence, identify risks and evidence weaknesses, document findings and determine an appropriate professional conclusion.
The professional examination contains 30 multiple choice questions covering all eight modules.
Passing Grade:70%
Successful candidates receive the International Sustainability Auditor and Assurance Practitioner certification from GreenCard certification.
Previous experience in sustainability, auditing, accounting, finance, environmental management, compliance, governance or consulting is advantageous but is not currently stated as a compulsory entry requirement in the programme brochure.
